NFIB State Director Shawn Shouldice conducted a virtual legislative briefing to address significant small business issues raised in the recent Vermont legislative session. The briefing comes ahead of Governor Scott's veto session scheduled for June 17th. Shouldice detailed NFIB's advocacy efforts for small businesses and offered guidance on how members can take action.

NFIB emphasized the importance of urging Governor Scott to exercise his veto power. Although participation in the briefing required free registration, a recording has been made available for those unable to attend. Participants can also read a letter from NFIB and its business allies urging the governor to veto H.766.

Concluding the program, NFIB Grassroots Manager Julianna Rauf provided insights on how attendees can effectively advocate for Vermont's small business community with state lawmakers. For further engagement or questions about participating, Julianna Rauf can be contacted via email at julianna.rauf@nfib.org or by phone at 857-228-9978.
