Census Bureau: 81.5% of people in Vermont were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 641,637 citizens living in Vermont in 2021, 81.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 522,748 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 256,726 were male, constituting 49.1%, and 266,022 were female, making up 50.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Vermont during 2021 was higher than the national average, which stands at 77.5%.
