Say goodbye, at least for a little while, to the mild weather and get your snowshoes and skis ready for the weekend!
A winter storm watch has been issued for the northern half of the state from 7 p.m. tonight through Thursday afternoon. Forecasts call for 7 inches or more of heavy snowfall and lowered visibility. Temperatures will also fall below zero at some points over the weekend.
Consider waiting until snowfall has subsided to venture out, but if you do, make sure your winter hiking knowledge is up to par and that you have proper traction footwear and the ten essentials.
