Part of the Naturalist Journeys 2023 Winter Presentation Series

In the true tradition of Naturalist Journeys, join Sean Beckett on a photographic odyssey around the globe, from the rainforests of Panama to the Savannas of Africa to the mountains of Yellowstone. For decades, NBNC has led excursions in search of Earth’s most enchanting wild creatures. Tonight, join fellow travelers to hear stories about NBNC’s adventures abroad: fascinating natural history, close calls with wildlife, inspiring conservation efforts, and tips for improving one’s wildlife photography at home and afar.

About Sean Beckett: Sean is North Branch Nature Center’s Program Director. Welcomed in 2017 as NBNC’s staff naturalist, Sean’s background includes a wide range of ecological field research and wildlife ecotourism leadership. From polar bears in the arctic to pygmy-owls in the desert, Sean’s academic and professional excursions have always included a camera. He uses wildlife photography to help bring audiences a little closer to the farthest-flung critters of the world.
