January 22 @ 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Sunday January 22 and Sunday February 510:30 – noon | Free! – Registration required

For families with children ages 6 and up

Come explore nature in a new way! Imagine yourself as an ant and take a “microscopic” hike into the leaf litter. Explore your sense of touch by “meeting a tree.” Expand your sense of hearing by adopting “deer ears” in the forest. Test your hiding skills with the game of camouflage. Families will connect with one another and with the natural world in these fun and engaging programs led by NBNC Teacher-Naturalist Fiona Modrak.

  • The entire program takes place outdoors. Please dress accordingly!
  • Program will be cancelled in the event of severe cold or inclement weather.
  • The trails are 6’-wide paths of packed snow over grass or compacted dirt. Trails are flat with no cross-grade. Please let us know ahead of the program how we can better accommodate your mobility and/or other accessibility needs.

Our Shared Commitment

Take care of yourself. Take care of others. Take care of the earth.

We strive to help people feel welcomed, oriented to the landscape, engaged, inspired, safe, and part of our community. We ask that our visitors and participants share this commitment while at North Branch Nature Center and during our programs. We expect that all who enter this shared space do so in the spirit of welcoming kindness, inclusivity, respect, and curiosity.
