Phew! As we take a much-needed long weekend after the busy field season and wrap-up period, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for all of the support we received during the 2022 hiking season from hikers, members, donors, and volunteers.
You may have seen the three professional trail crews, our volunteer trail crew, or one of our backcountry caretakers at 15 sites on the Long Trail. If so, know that it’s your support that makes their work to better the trail possible.
This map shows the locations of where projects were worked on during the 2022 field season: repairs or rebuilds of six shelters, five privies, and nine stretches of trail, including the major #BurrowsTrailProject and wrapping up five years of relocations at Stratton Pond.
