Vermont small business update scheduled for June 28

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is organizing a virtual meeting for small business owners in Vermont. The session, titled “Legislative Session Update,” will take place on June 28th, 2023, from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time via Microsoft Teams.

This event aims to provide insights into recent legislative developments affecting small businesses in Vermont. Topics will include the passing of the Clean Heat Standard and efforts to increase payroll taxes. NFIB members are encouraged to participate in this free session by registering in advance.

Shawn Shouldice, NFIB State Director, will lead the discussion. Participants can submit questions beforehand or during the meeting to gain clarity on how new regulations might impact their businesses.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) issued 102 home loans in Vermont, totaling $37.3 million, during the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2024, according to figures provided by the Veterans Affairs Home Loans Index.
