Vermont agricultural and forestry businesses now have the opportunity to apply for Trade Show Assistance Grants (TSAG) through the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets. The grants are intended to help these businesses exhibit and sell their products at trade shows that target buyers outside of Vermont.

According to the agency, funding from TSAG can reimburse up to 75% of expenses such as travel, marketing materials, booth design services, registration fees, booth fees, furnishings, utilities, shipping or freight costs, and other marketing-related expenses like samples and printing. However, only business-to-business or wholesale trade shows are eligible; direct-to-consumer events do not qualify for this program.

Applicants may include up to four trade shows in their annual marketing plan. The total amount requested must be between $2,000 and $7,500 for eligible activities occurring between April 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027.

To qualify for TSAG funding, applicants must be Vermont-based agricultural or forestry businesses registered with the Vermont Secretary of State. They also need to have been operating for more than one year with a significant presence in Vermont. In addition, eligible businesses must have at least three wholesale accounts and ensure their products meet the state’s local definition under Act 129.

The application process is competitive. “Eligibility does not guarantee funding will be awarded,” according to the agency.

The application period is open until January 21, 2026. More information about eligibility requirements and how to apply can be found on the agency’s website at agriculture.vermont.gov/grants/tradeshow.
