The outdoors should be for everyone, but folks with mobility impairments face numerous challenges getting outside, especially in steep and rocky places like much of Vermont. In honor of Disability Pride Month, and the 32nd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act on July 26, we are happy to share this list of accessible outdoor destinations in Vermont from the Green Mountain Club. The outings range from car accessible summits and overlooks to wheelchair accessible boardwalks and smooth flat trails all around the state, many of which are new in the last few years.
