Vermont Tourism issued the following announcement.
The opening of Smugglers Notch is a seasonal rite of passage welcoming spring and summer. Route 108 offers a scenic drive from Stowe's bustling Mountain Road to the small town of Cambridge, where hand-painted murals turn silos into art, families find fun at Smugglers Notch Resort, and distillers and winemakers craft local beverages. Hiking, rock climbing, and biking await within Smugglers Notch State Park, and an accessible boardwalk at Barnes Camp means those who use wheelchairs can access a loop that's part of the Long Trail.
