The fun starts with a boat parade on Lake St. Catherine on July 3rd at 1 PM. Email info@lakestcathering.org to register.
The Annual 5K Martin Devlin Fun Run will be a virtual run again this year, and it’s going on right now!. Sign up now at Racewire.com, download the form here, or get one at the Poultney Town Hall.

Parade line-up will be at 11 AM at the East Poultney Green, and judging will take place there. The theme for 2021 will be “Slate Valley Celebrates and Remembers:
The five categories will be:
- Best depicts the theme.
- Business that best depicts the theme
- Best depicts the organization
- Most Patriotic
- Most Photographic
The Grand Marshal for the parade is the PACC Citizen of the Year from the previous October. This year, there will be two grand marshals – Mary Lee Harriis, the 2019 Citizen of the Year, and Dan Williams, 2020 Citizen of the Year.
The Bhakta family and the Poultney Recreation Committee invite you to join them on the lawn of the former Green Mountain College campus after the parade. There will be a bouncy house and food available. Blaine Goad the Magician will perform at 1:30 PM, and EnerJazz will play from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
A DJ will play music at Poultney Elementary School while people wait for the big Fireworks display at dusk. More information will be posted later.
