HARTFORD, VTSenator Peter Welch (D-VT) joined the Hartford/Lebanon 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration today in commemoration of the end of enslavement of African Americans in the United States. Sen. Welch gave remarks on the importance of solidarity in the ongoing fight against racial injustice, speaking alongside Vermont State Representative Kevin “Coach” Christy, Executive Director of the Vermont Office of Racial Equity Xusana Davis, Chair of the Equity Committee for the Vermont League of Cities and Towns and Winooski City Manager Elaine Wang, and others.

Number of VA loans issued in Vermont decreased by 10.5% from Q4 2023 to Q4 2024

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) issued 102 home loans in Vermont, totaling $37.3 million, during the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2024, according to figures provided by the Veterans Affairs Home Loans Index.
