For a period in early November, Poultney businesses give back a 10 dollar discount on any purchase of 30 dollars or more. This promotion is grant-dependent. Any remaining funds from the grant are applied to a “Shop Local” promotion during early December. Grant approval must be obtained by the end of August to allow planning and execution of the promotions.
The Poultney Area Chamber solicits participation, distributes and collects tickets, audits the results, and provide a balanced financial report to the granting organization.
