Learn to paint with oils in a fun, friendly, non-competitive environment. This class is ideal for those who have never painted before – no materials purchase is necessary. Just show up and enjoy the process! Ken will lead the group in painting a single scene together, supporting students to develop each new technique as the need arises. Come explore!

Ken Ahlering has loved painting all his life. He teaches and sells his work regularly and exhibits widely. An award-winning member of the U.S. Department of State’s Art in Embassies program, Ken has had paintings in U.S. Embassies in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Montenegro. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) issued 102 home loans in Vermont, totaling $37.3 million, during the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2024, according to figures provided by the Veterans Affairs Home Loans Index.
