Hildene Bird Walk

Sat Dec 10th 9:00am – 11:00am

Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home, 1005 Hildene Road, Manchester, VT, USA

Saturday, December 10, 9:00am. Join local birders to gather long-term data on the presence of birds, their abundance, and changes in populations. Weather in December is more variable than the expected birds at this time. But there is always the possibility of a visitor from the northern regions such as a Pine Siskin, Common Redpoll, Snowy Owl or Evening Grosbeak. Populations of the Grosbeak used to be a given at winter feeders, but, as with so many species, their numbers are way down. Appropriate for birders of all skill levels, the walks run along forest and meadow trails and around the main house. Free. For more information, contact stephanie@hildene.org or call 802-367-7960.
