Christian Antisemitism-From Antiquity to Present Day

“Come let us reason together” Jewish-Christian Conversations-A Forum Series sponsored by Israel Congregation, First Congregational Church of Manchester, and The Interfaith Council of Norths hire.

We are excited to announce a new interfaith venture aimed both at educating and creating opportunities for connections and dialogue. The inaugural two-part series will explore Christian Antisemitism from the First Century to the modern period. Each session will include content, response, and an opportunity for audience participation.

Rev. Borror’s academic background is in Church History, having taught at three different seminaries and graduate schools, including classes on Jewish-Christian Origins and the History of Antisemitism. He was CLI Fellow at Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem and member of the national Jewish-Presbyterian Dialogue team from 2007-2010.

Rabbi Cohen has dedicated much of his rabbinate to interfaith work from Vermont to Israel – where for the past 25 plus years he has worked with Christians, Muslim, and Jews at the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies on Kibbutz Ketura. He has also taught classes on the Gospels from a Jewish perspective at Bennington College, and writes a weekly Torah commentary for the Jerusalem Post.

Cantor Buckner is the President of The Interfaith Council of the Norths hire. He has served on the Ethics Committee and the Executive Council of the Cantors Assembly. He is an alumnus of the Clergy Leadership program of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, seeking to develop and teach spiritual practices so that individuals and communities may experience greater awareness, purpose, and interconnection.
